Welcome to Day 28 of The 30 Day Blog Challenge hosted by our daughter, C.C., at I’m On My Way
and her online BFF Jamee at A New Kind of Normal.
Today’s assignment is to post a blog post about your favorite movie.
My favorite movie, bar none, was just released late last year and was recently released on video also.
It is Courageous.
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it to everyone – adults, parents, singles, teens, youth, emergency responders, i.e., firefighters, EMT’s, law enforcement,
and even all those incarcerated.
Here’s a synopsis:
Drama | PG-13 | Director: Alex Kendrick | Writers: Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick | Stars: Alex Kendrick, Ken Bevel and Kevin Downes.
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, they face danger every day. Yet when tragedy strikes close to home, these fathers are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, and their faith. From this struggle will come a decision that changes all of their lives. With action, drama, and humor, the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures embraces God’s promise to “turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers.” Souls will be stirred, and hearts will be challenged to be … courageous!
Gary and I were privileged to see a sneek preview of Courageous last summer at a conference.
It has something for everyone.
It runs a full gamut of emotions and life situations/experiences.
It had me spell bound.
One moment I was laughing my head off, and the next moment I was crying my eyes out.
Here’s the Official Trailer.
Here’s the theme song by Casting Crowns.
